
On Thursday, October 22, sixteen marines participating in the Veterans in Piping (VIP) Program at Camp Pendleton will graduate from the 16-week welding curriculum. This is the 20th VIP class graduating from Camp Pendleton.
The ceremony was held at the Marine Memorial Golf Course onboard Camp Pendleton. The graduating class invited a past VIP graduate, Kevin Long, to attend the ceremony and speak. Kevin graduated from the 7th class at Camp Pendleton in 2011 and is now a journeyman welder for Local 230 in San Diego. Other speakers include: Lt. Col. Kevin K. Kuginskie, retired Maj. Gen. Anthony L. Jackson and retired Maj. Gen. Matt Caulfield.
